Sal Scibetta has been involved with turtles for over 35 years. Over the past 20 years he was involved in the Education and Reptile departments at Montgomery (Alabama)Zoo, San Antonio Zoo and Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo. He also volunteers with the Padre Island National Seashore's Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle recovery project. Sal is also an active member of the Turtle Survival Alliance and North American Freshwater Turtle Research Group. In addition, he is a Air Force Reservist and a Leukemia survivor. He has a Bachelor's in Science from Auburn University, Montgomery.
